NEW Artterro Art Kits for Children

Artterro Art Kits - 12 to choose from

I am excited to introduce you to our newest arrival - Artterro Art Kits. There are 12 to choose from and there is something for everyone: jewelry making kit, canvas story book kit, collage decorations, art doll and so many more. There are many reasons to like Artterro, but here are a few points that convinced me:

Where is the Big Fancy Box?
Artterro craft kits look a little different than your average craft kit. We have skipped the excessive packaging and invested in 100% post-consumer waste recycled paper, reusable bags and beautiful high-quality materials that sell themselves.

What Sustainability Means to Us
We founded Artterro with important core beliefs. We are committed to using as few resources as possible, respecting and enjoying the company of the people we work with, and taking into account the social and environmental impact we have on the planet and community at home.

What We are Doing Now
• Packaging inserts and marketing materials are printed on 100% post-consumer waste recycled paper using vegetable based inks and renewable energy.
• We minimized kit packaging to reduce waste and shipping expense. They take up less space in packing boxes.
• Goodwill Industries in Milwaukee, WI assembles and ships our kits. It is important to us to provide jobs to people in need and we are thrilled to work with such a great non-profit organization.
• We feature high-quality natural materials like 100% wool felt, gorgeous handmade paper, glass and wooden beads, and copper wire. We want people to love the materials so they will not want to throw them away.
• We value our relationships with suppliers and people we work with. We love forging partnerships with other companies and promoting balance in our daily lives.

Green Toys - reused, reduced and recycled - truly GREEEN

Green Toys made 100% from recycled plastic milk containers

If you are looking or a truly ego friendly toy - look no further. Green Toys are a California based company that uses only 100% recycled plastic from milk containers. The material they use is called high-density polyethylene (or HDPE). This material is considered one of the safest, cleanest plastics around. All toys are also produced right here in the USA. All Green Toys products are packaged in recycled corrugated boxes with no plastics, cellophane or twist-ties, and are 100% recyclable. Green Toys products are also tested by nationally recognized, independent, third-party labs (located, yes, in the USA.) They contain no traceable amounts of Phthalates or BPA. They are also designed without any external coatings, eliminating the fear of lead paint. Green Toys - a truly green choice!

HABA Game Wiggling Cow Wins Multiple Awards by 'The Toy Man'

HABA Wiggling Cow Game - "A Masterful Creation of Stimulating Play"
Evaluated by:  Rev. James G.W. Fisher | The Toy Man® - Product Evaluation Specialist
Product Evaluation Summary Date:  10/26/2009

HABA Wiggling Cow has received the following awards from 'The Toy Man':
The Toy Man® Seal of Approval
The Toy Man® eco-Recognition Seal™
The Toy Man® Award of Excellence
The Toy Man® eChoice™ Award

Elsa the wiggling cow loves to eat fresh grass. In this game the question which comes into play is how much grass can you pull from under Elsa before she tips over? It looks a lot easier than you might think. It is definitely a curious game of skill and technique.
HABA has always been known for the very best in quality in the products they produce and the Wackelkuh - Wiggling Cow Board Game holds true to that same quality. This game is such a perfect example of how simplicity can be so deceptive as you will soon see.

Here you have a wiggling cow who goes by the name of Elsa. The game board has an image which is a simulation of a field or farm yard upon which you place the firm square shaped tiles which represent grass. Elsa is then placed on top of these grass tiles, (easier said than done.) You have to remember that Elsa is a "wiggling" cow. She must be carefully placed on the tiles or else her legs will wiggle and down she goes!

What comes next is each player has to take the wooden fork which comes with the game and try to see how much grass they can remove from beneath Elsa without her beginning to wiggle and topple over. The concept of this task is such a creative masterpiece of deception, creating an illusion of a simple task to perform which soon afterward evolves into a quite stimulating challenge which will keep a child thoroughly engaged.
