Bamboo is a giant grass that grows as tall as a tree - it is sensitive to sawing, cutting, filing, dyeing, temperature and bending. Bamboo is an extremely economical and earth-friendly material. Once cut, bamboo grows back completely in a mere three years. It also combines lightness with stability and is flexible, yet very strong.
